The Open Evening is suitable if you are looking to study an undergraduate programme at Sheffield Hallam University. The evening will be an opportunity for you to talk to staff and students and find out more about the course you are interested in, as well as look around the campus, facilities and accommodation.
At the Open Evening, as a care leaver, you could find out more about our bespoke applicant support scheme; SHU Progress. The evening will provide you with the chance to meet the SHU Progress Team who can advise you on support you can receive as an applicant and once you enrol at university and answer any questions you may have.
You can join SHU Progress prior to attending the Open Evening by asking a supporter (e.g. teacher or personal advisor) to nominate you to the scheme using the short online form on www.shu.ac.uk/shuprogress A major benefit of the scheme is that we will support your travel costs to and from events, such as the Open Evening. You may also bring a supporter with you such as a foster carer, teacher, college tutor, social worker or local authority personal advisor.
For current SHU Progress students you can request your travel for the Open Evening at: https://blogs.shu.ac.uk/shuprogressblog/events/event-travel
