The North East Raising Aspiration Partnership are delighted to host the sixth Raising Aspirations for Young People in Care Conference, in collaboration with Teesside University. Bringing together the key people responsible for shaping the future of our young people in care, this conference offers a chance to discuss ways to work together to encourage participation, achievement and progression in education.

Who is it for?

  • Foster carers
  • Residential care staff
  • Social workers
  • Designated LAC teachers
  • Personal advisers
  • Virtual head teachers
  • Local authority teams responsible for young people in and leaving care

Our keynote this year will be delivered by Jenny Molloy. Jenny is the successful co-author of Hackney Child and Tainted Love under her pen name Hope Daniels.  Jenny is a Patron of BASW England, and a regular contributor with Community Care. Having been regularly called on by government bodies to advise on the care and fostering of children, her mission is to reach out to care leavers and associated professionals to inspire hope and to remind us that all care leavers have ability.

Attendance is free of charge.
