Liverpool John Moores University

Book now

LJMU are once again hosting their exciting two-day Summer Residential taking place on Thursday 27th-Friday 28th June for Year 10 pupils who are in or have spent time in local authority care.

This is a great opportunity for pupils to experience what life at university would be like, meet students and hear first-hand about the support that is available to them.

Activities include:

  • An introduction to the Higher Education experience
  • University Campus Tour and overnight stay in LJMU accommodation
  • Hands-on taster sessions in one of LJMU’s many subject areas
  • Opportunity to participate in social activities with LJMU students
  • A chance to speak to current care-experienced students.

This event is FREE and includes all meals, refreshments and materials needed throughout the event*.

As in previous years, we are also offering the chance for students to bring a friend** should they feel more comfortable knowing someone taking part. Please be assured, that we have had many students attend past residentials not knowing anyone and leaving with firm friends.

Please feel free to distribute copies of the attached to pupils/staff whom you feel would benefit from this invaluable opportunity. Students can register via our website at www.ljmu.ac.uk/outreachevents or by emailing summeruniversity@ljmu.ac.uk.

The deadline for applications is Monday 10th June 2019

Location: Liverpool City Centre
