23/02/2016Care Leaver Health Project

The Care Leavers' Association, a national user-led charity supporting care leavers, has been awarded funding by the Department of Health to work with local Clinical Commissioning Groups to help improve health outcomes for care leavers. The basis of the project will be to take the experiences and views of care leavers about what issues have affected their health - looking at things that helped and those that didn’t. We will use this information to co-produce resources for commissioners and service providers that will attempt to improve services.

We are conducting a health needs survey of care leavers and adolescent looked after children.

We would like it if you could distribute the survey amongst your networks of care leavers and looked after children (16+).  We’d also like to know if it would be possible to set up some local focus groups of care leavers to ask them about their health and their experiences of health services. Please contact Jakeb to discuss this.

Information about the Health Needs Survey is below.

By completing this you will help CLA to improve health services for care leavers and looked after children. We will use this information combined with our knowledge to present a user-led perspective on how to improve health services for care leavers.

Plus, ONE! Lucky survey taker will win a £200 gift voucher.

If people wish to fill in a paper one please they can post it to (pdf version attached).   Freepost THE CARE LEAVERS ASSOCIATION, This will incur no cost to them what so ever.
