04/02/2020NNECL is recruiting a Communications and Administration Officer (Part-time)

Our Network is a national charity that brings together practitioners in universities, colleges, local authorities and other organisations that support care-experienced students in the education sector.

NNECL was established in 2013 by a group of colleagues from across the UK who saw the need for practitioners to work together to ensure that people who had experience of care were effectively supported in their journey through secondary, further and higher education. It remains a practitioner-led organisation, with its work driven through our National Strategy Group (NSG), which comprises colleagues from universities, colleges, local authorities and national charities, working to support outreach and widen participation in further and higher education.

The Communications and Administration Officer will act as the first point of contact for our members and for others interested in working with us.  You will support the National Strategy Group by ensuring the day to day running of our organisation. You will also play a key role in ensuring that members and partners are properly informed and supported through our newsletters and web site and take care of our growing membership and range of partners.

We are seeking a proactive and independent communicator and administrator who will enjoy daily interaction with a wide range of members, partners and colleagues.  You will have the experience and skills to manage our web site and our membership databases.  Working closely with the NNECL Director and Chair of Trustees, you will be a meticulous and efficient administrator, with solid organisational and bookkeeping skills and a talent for spotting ways in which we can improve and innovate.

NNECL has no office base, so you will be working from home and will be highly self-motivated and comfortable with a relationship to your manager that operates at a distance.  There will be occasional travel to meetings and to conferences in the UK, for which you will be fully reimbursed.
