11/02/2021Cardiff University research project exploring care experienced young people’s attitudes towards, and participation in, higher education.

You are invited to help Cardiff University in a research project exploring care experienced young people’s attitudes towards, and participation in, higher education. This research is part of a three year post-doctoral research project funded by Health and Care Research Wales (HCRW), and based in CASCADE at Cardiff University. The research has received ethical approval from Cardiff University's School of Social Sciences.

They are recruiting care experienced young people aged 14+ *who have either lived or studied in Wales* to take part in this research. This will involve hearing about their experiences of education and their thoughts about college and university, which can either be done over the phone or via video (Zoom, Teams etc). Additionally there are two different online surveys for young people in case this is easier than speaking over the phone/on Zoom:

Survey for those in school/college

Survey for those in university

Please feel free to share the survey links with your networks. If you'd like more information, or are aware of any young people you think may be interested in taking part, please get in touch  BayfieldH@cardiff.ac.uk. All interview participants will receive a £20 Amazon voucher as a thank you for their time.
