Webinar 1: Supporting students with the transition from application to arrival 13th January 2021 13:00-14:00
How can we ensure a smooth transition to university for care-experienced students? What are the key issues for our students as they embark on their higher education journey and how do we as practitioners develop and deliver appropriate support strategies to assist them in navigating these potential challenges?
This webinar will focus on the student journey from pre-application to enrolment and beyond, identifying practice that supports transition and success for care-experienced students. We will share examples of current practice as well as discuss ideas to allow participants to be able to identify opportunities for future development in their own institutional provision.
Webinar 2: Working Collaboratively with Local Authorities Tuesday 16th March 13:00-14:00

We will explore the relevant local authority functions, including virtual schools, leaving care teams and residential care, and consider these within policy context; we will share good practise in terms of examples of positive working relationships and effective projects, and share research around the support HEI's could offer key influencers in a summary of the Supporting the Supporters project.
