The CLPP is joined in commitment to improving the post-16 education and training experience for local children in care and care leavers. It is steered through a strategy group made up of representatives from each partner organisation.
Members commit to the partnership financially, and work to agreed Terms of Reference and objectives that are reviewed annually. All members sign an agreement which runs for three years.
The CLPP’s mission is to share best practice and work towards a consistent approach to tracking, data, and resource for Looked After Children and Young Care Leavers in, and prospective to, post-compulsory education and training in Kent and Medway.
All member institutions have a Designated Member of Staff (DMS) for care leavers, and the CLPP oversees the DMS group who meet termly.
